Hello all,
I am looking to buy a socket holder for SOIC8 and they come in 150 and 200 mil and I dont know which is the right one for a ATTINY 85-20 SU package type 8S2. Attached is the size chart for the ATtiny.
Any suggestions what is the correct socket spec?

If you want to have one solution for both, you can consider a SOIC8 test clip.
I use such a clip for both Attiny13 (narrow SOIC8) and Attiny85 (wide SOIC8). And it can also be used after the part has been soldered on the PCB.
I have seen those clamps buy my ATTiny is not soldered and I want to program it before soldering. I guess I have to use something like this? But these is no mentioning of narrow or wide:
The 150 mils socket is for the smaller Attiny13 4mm wide.
The 200 mils is for the wider Attiny85 (5mm wide)
btw, I use the clip also for programming before soldering. Just put the IC on the table and grab it with the clip.
