Something cheaper and display would be great like the esp32 c6 but i think that one doesn't support bl serial...
I believe there's a WeMos ESP32 about the same footprint as their ESP8266.
No display.
Of course, the ESP32 module, sans dev-board, is available.

As already mentioned there is an Esp8266, you can also print your own board, take a very small MCU and connect Bluetoth Classic
