I use to order from this company many years ago and have recently come across them again.
I thought new people to electronics might find some of the parts they sell interesting and may be applicable for some Arduino projects. I am not affiliated with these guys.
good site, shame its US!
i like the randomness of the parts!
Display Electronics site seems to be down at the moment, but they've had quite
a range of recycled strange stuff:
www.distel.co.uk
Also Surplus Sales of Nebraska
And www.MPJA.com
I am not impressed by the www.surplussales.com site. Just looking at the front page tells me they are ripping people off. They are selling an analog dc gauge for $35. Those are worth about $5 and are easily available at many, many places. Every gauge seems WAY overpriced.
They have good prices on other stuff. For example, scroll down here
20-button keypad for $1. I bought 4 or 5 to make remote controls when 12 or 16 is not enough and making multifunction keys is not worth while.
This might not be "surplus", I don't know, but they have really great prices and fast, low cost shipping. It's been a lifesaver for me. 16 mHz resonators, $0.09. 16 & 20 mHz crystals, $0.10. 2N3906 and 2N3904, 2 cents. Tons of hardware and electronics that is very useful for Arduino DIY. I have no association with them, just like to share my good fortune in finding this place. http://www.taydaelectronics.com/
Yes, tayda is good, I order lots of stuff there.
www.dipmicro.com in Naigara Falls is also good, low prices inexpensive fast shipping.
Looks like another great source for stuff. Thanks, Crossroads.
I've ordered from several of the companies in the top of the below listing, like allelectronics, bgmicro, and a couple of others..
Too much good stuff!
