In the days before assemblers you had to write code in mnemonics and build up the hex (or in my case octal) by hand from this. There was no way to add an extra instruction and have all the other code shuffle up to make room for it.
The two ways of adding a line was to type the whole thing in again, or to add a patch. A patch was to replace one instruction with a go to jump to another part of the memory, then perform the instruction you replaced with the jump, perform your new instructions, and then jump back to the place after your initial code was patched.
Not so bad, but the problem was, when you did this several times, then the code was not only Spaghetti, it was Spaghetti broken up into many many small pieces.
I see someone sleeping on the the NEED to keep large regions of forest doing what they do.
They want to remain IGNORANT so..... Woke is the problem!
Stupid by choice. Denial by choice. Blinkered by choice.
Hey TOOL! The trouble with the WEATHER IS MAN MADE.
The Orange Dick-tater made a TWO TRILLION HOLE in the budget and you want to piss off about 1B spent to try and alleviate the problem that causes 100's of B's destruction a year because why? Oh yeah, bigger tax breaks for the guys making thjings WORSE!
And how do we do that? By hatting about "woke".
It can get particularly "amusing" when "political correctness" ends up being self-contradictory.
For example, explicitly choosing "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" can be seen as "politically correct." So can choosing "Merry Christmas" over "Happy Holidays."
Every religion has it's own traditions. Why not ...
I never heard Moslems claiming that Ramadan isn't a political correct naming and should be renamed as "Happy Fasting" (and I would not expect anyone to do so!).
Respect for other people includes respecting their traditions and culture. As long as this is not inflicting with the law there's no need to change things.
However some people like to "upgrade" their moralistic position and create public attention by behaving more sensitive than the "princess and the pea" ... Regardless of damaging a basically good idea ...
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all members whatever you personally prefer!
