Hi good afternoon . I have problems with the I2C extender from Sparkfun, I wanted to connect an I2C display using a patch/LAN cable. Unfortunately the display flickers or shows cryptic characters. it also keeps restarting. When I connect it directly to the TTGO T Beam ESP everything works. Voltage and current are okay and stable. what could be the solution to the problem? It works perfectly with a 0.96 OLED but not with the large one.
Just a guess, it's a little outside my area of knowledge.
Which wires did you use in the patch cable. Never use a pair for SDA and SCL; it will result in crosstalk. Use one pair for SCL/GND and one pair for SDA/GND.
