So... if these guys really did go off the grid does anyone know of a suitable alternative? I'm looking at the Polulu Maestro controller in conjunction with a pseudo-library that someone made for the arduino (http://forum.pololu.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2380) but I don't think it can do everything that the supermodified can do.
Thanks!
EDIT: I realize I might have posted on the wrong board.
After looking at the Supermodified you have me interested too. That's a nice hack!
The Pololu Maestro cannot do anything the Arduino cannot do; the Supermodified converts a servo into a continuous rotation, absolute positioning servo and that's a hardware/sensor change. The closest thing to it in functionality would be using one of Pololu's motors that include a rotary encoder, but they don't provide any libraries for using it and you'd have to buy a separate motor driver for it.
