Bought a 3.2" TFT and it works great, got blazing speed with it on DUE with the 16 bit parallel interface... BUT... the viewing angles really suck badly.
The viewing angles were so bad I thought the display was a dud then noticed looking top down is not very good as it seems optimized for around 45-60 degrees.
Problem is... I wanted it for a clock and there is no way this thing will be viewable unless the person sits down with it and adjusts the tilt before viewing. Very frustrating.
Currently looking at the color OLED displays but they're all so small and the largest I've seens is 1.5" with 160*128.
At this rate I might have to timewarp to 3 months ago and use 5 8x8 LED arrays chained for the time and just use a 160*128 OLED for settings. (I was almost thinking 6 small OLED displays chained might be viable)
Real bummer as I made a really nice nixie tube color font last night I intended to use as the time display.
Anyone else have the same issues with TFT or any ideas on what would be good at displaying largish/readable digits from 2-4 metres?
