Touch IC/sensor for touch lamp

Hi together,

I'm kind a frustrated and hope someone has an idea to that. I would like to build my own touch lamp with a Philips hue bulb. My idea is to control the lamp like those classic touch lamps. So touching it once on the metal case switches it one and touching it for a longer time turns it off.

I got everything working with the lamp disconnected from power. But as soon as I connect it to a power socket and turn it on the capacity on the case changes rapidly and my thresholds for submitting my commands to the hue bridge don't work anymore. I haven't found any way to deal with that so far. I tried the capsense lib and their solution with two wires and some other things. Nothing worked.

So my next idea is to get a specific touch sensor for that. But I have no idea what could work. Most sensors I've found have a dedicated touch area. But as I want to use the lamp itself for that its not what I' searching for.

I found that sensor on tindie:

Does anybody know if that could work? Unfortunately my engineering skills are a little, lets say limited
