Hi! Hope you're doing well. I am a final year E&E engineering student working on my final year project, for which I am trying to measure the hydration level (TBW) of individuals working under strenuous conditions. I am working on building a prototype sensor that uses the properties of ultrasound to do so. I need to use a 1-5MHz piezo ceramic transducer to create and send the signal through a sample tissue, but sadly the only place where I can find it is Steminc. Since I'm from Australia the shipping cost from Steminc (which is in US) is astronomical, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any other alternate source from where I can buy the transducers? it is the 15mm x 2.1mm piezo ceramic transducer. Any help will be much appreciated.
Ultrasound probes are used in hospitals and medical clinics for imaging through human tissue, so there must be local suppliers for that sort of equipment, replacement transducers, etc.
Keep looking!
