Hi,
I can't seem to find how to search this forum for this answer. I would like to change my username as my current username is too identifying. I have searched how to change it and found the spot as directed in my preferences, but the wrench to change it is not there. I can change anything else.
Any idea how to get that option back? I must not have understood that my username would be visible to the public when I signed up.
Thanks
Click...
- your icon (upper right of forum)
- the human icon (upper right of dropdown)
- forum profile
- preferences
- account
- (down the page is "name"
- you will probably have to sign-in with your old name)
- or, delete your account and start a new one
thank you. That's what the instructions online said as well, but my username does not have the option to change.
Hi @EQL. As explained here, the Discourse software used by the Arduino Forum disables the option for the user to change their name a few days after registration:
If you still want to change it, you can send me a private message with the name you would like and I'll take care of it.

Unless you need to preserve your posts, just ask a moderator to delete your profile, and create a new account. Oh wait, it's been taken care of...
