USB 2.0 driver issue with Nano

Hello,

Would anyone have some help for a new user please?

When my Nano is connected via USB, my Windows XP professional service pack 3 2002 machine reports:

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver" in the USB 2.0 serial properties box in the device driver.

When I connect the Nano to the PC the pop-up box reports that the driver isn't installed and that it wont work.

The installed version Arduino 1.6.7 also does not display an extra port with the Nano connected.

Am I right in thinking that there is a driver I need? And if so, is this driver available?

I think this driver sorted it:

The official drivers only work with official Nanos and clones that use the same serial adapter.

As you've discovered, the majority of the clones use the CH340G serial chips, because they're dirt cheap (they also work pretty well - when I need a serial adapter, I use CH340G's). And you found the correct driver.
