i have a l298n motor driver and a sensor shield on a arduino uno i have no clue how to use them together but would like to learn can anybody help me.
Hi @datalittle ! Welcome to the Forum.
I suggest you to make a little research about L298N and your "sensor shield" (whatever sensor it might be) using Google and Youtube before aksing to the Forum.
Since there are a lot of videos and sites teaching how to use the L298N driver, its connections and even some codes, it´s much more productive if you take a look at this material that is already done rather than trying to begin from the scratch here.
After that, maybe you will still have some specific questions that people here will be happy to help you with.
Before bringing your questions, remember to read this topic --> https://forum.arduino.cc/t/how-to-get-the-best-out-of-this-forum/681307 and to provide the code, wiring, pics and other things that can help others to understand which problems your project might have.
Have fun!
I do not have a clue either! Post links to technical information on the hardware devices as there are many with the same description. What are you going to do with the motor driver, do you have a motor, if so what. The sensor shield senses what? What do you want to build. Put a schematic together of what you want to do.
The L298 (and its little borher the L293), despite being widely available and very cheap is a ancient and inefficient technology. There are far better modern drivers available at very reasonable cost.
@Brazilino i have tried I cannot find anything that works with the sensor shield
Do you really need to use the sensor shield? Why?
If the answer is "yes", follow @gilshultz tip and give more details on what you´re actually trying to do and which sensors/motors do you have.
