Is there a way to use one or many CNY70 IR sensor as an obstacle sensor and improve the distance detection limit?

It looks like it would be fine for obstacle detection at the <5mm range.

Thanks bigred1212, I have many CNY70 that I want to use for the purpose of obstacle sensor, I know that there is better sensors.

"Better" may be a relative word. That is probably a very fine sensor, I just don't get the impression it is designed for the use you are contemplating.
