Hi,
Could you please make the 'Washed out' grey and 'Invisible-Grey' a colour option for the IDE menus
Instead of the default colour.
**as a cataract sufferer, I heartily agree
if you don't have cataracts: imagine that the liquid in the lenses of your eyes is slowly turning into vaseline. black becomes 60 percent gray, the white screen becomes 40 percent gray, and you get a 20 percent difference where you had 100 percent
I would add a black bold letters on yellow extreme high visibility option.**
+1 to that.
I got a bigger monitor. I have a 40" class smart TV for my monitor. It works great.
Hi @penguinman453. Arduino IDE 2.x comes with several themes. Two of these are specifically designed to provide better visibility. I'll provide instructions you can follow to try it:
- Select File > Preferences... (or Arduino IDE > Settings... for macOS users) from the Arduino IDE menus.
The "Preferences" dialog will open. - Select either "Light High Contrast" or "Dark High Contrast" from the "Theme" menu.
The UI will immediately change to the new theme. You can use this as a preview of the theme. - Once you have found your preferred theme, click the "OK" button.
The "Preferences" dialog will close.
As for the idea of the user to configure individual colors via the IDE preferences rather than changing the theme as a whole, unfortunately the Eclipse Theia IDE framework on which Arduino IDE is built doesn't currently provide this capability. The addition has already been requested:
