web controlled car

arduino uno
adafruit wifi shield v1 cc3000 chip
Motor shield from seeed studios v2.2

I have a remote control car that i stripped down to just the front motor for steering(not a servo) and rear motor for forward reverse. also i added two leds for head lights and a top mounted led light that flashs like police lights. i do have one servo in the cab of the rc truck that will hold an android phone to be used as a first person view camera through ip cam app.

my goal is to create a way to control all this over the web from where ever i am i will mount my iphone as a wifi hotspot in the vehicle for the wifi shield and android to connect to.

i would like a forward and revearce as well as left right steering of course i would like to be able to steer while moving and be able to mover servo camera left or right. mainly i would like to control this fom a computer.

the reason for this idea besides being awsome is to use as a security spy car at my camp where there is alot of theft as golf carts, cars ect are given away easy

Won't they also steal your security spy car?

maybe lol but the ip cam records and takes pics, and i can always use the find my phone app as well
ive searched everywhere i just dont have the knowledge to do this i know my wifi shield has a sd slot that i can put a web page onto and use it as a server i cant find anyone or anything to help with the communication as you see ive been posting all over here thinking this was my best option

The wifi shields are sketchy in operation as servers from what I've seen. The below was a simple test setup for a wifi bot using a wireless router, and an arduino with ethernet shield. A wireless router adds the possibility of including IP cam functions.

would it maybe better to get a wifi to ethernet adaptor ....although i do have a linksys router im not using how can i set it up to recieve wireless signal?
