@jumbo125
According to the Vitotronic documentation, the receiver wavelength is at 860nm but apparently is not all that picky since the SFH487 is at 880nm.
So, I think that the SFH 4356 would be a good replacement, even better than the original
You could also use the SFH 4556 which is 5mm round instead of 3mm
The SFH4356 is about twice as powerful as the 487 so I would actually use a bigger resistor, 200 or 220 ohms. It will draw less current from the ESP but still provide more power.
the shipping costs for the two sensors will be more than 20€ in my country. I had follow all links to any shop
but i found a shop that will be send for 8€.
The shop has only the
SFH 4350 IR-Emitter 860 nm 13 ° 3 mm radial
or
SFH 4555 IR-Emitter 860 nm 5 ° 5 mm radial
can i use one of them or are the not correct as an alternativ?
Thanks a lot
However, it has a much narrower beam angle than the 487 so you will have to make sure it is directly aligned with the optical receiver on the boiler interface.Also use a 220 ohm resistor
