What is the best building material for arduino project?

Hello guys, Omar here.
so i've been in arduino for a while now and i created many projects(10 i think), they were all quite simple, but now i want to create some advanced projects, and most advanced projects require engineering skills and building to create them(creating the structure of a drone for example). so i started making a project but all the material i had were cardboard and hot glue. but when i tried using that to create the structure of an advanced project i'm working on, the glue kept getting loose and the cardboard was bending from the weight of the stuff on top of it, and it was really frustrating seeing how the project just falls apart while testing., so the materials i tried using but couldn't were: wood because it requires big and dangerous equipment and i'm a child,3d printing because it's expensive as hell in my country(egypt),lego because they are also expensive in my country, and cardboard because it's very weak. so now i want a material that is "sturdy","cheap","easy to work with",and "available". i'm hoping to get help from people that have experience working with building materials.

i would very much appreciate any help.

Plastic and a better glue.
Or wood.

what type of plastic? also i have super glue, and wood is dangerous to deal with and creates a mess of saw dust, and i don't have a workshop to put all the equipment in

You could try rigid pvc foam, Forex.

plexiglass, but mistakes glare at you forever.

One piece of cardboard might eventually bend, but put two at right angles and glue them with either hot glue or some other paper glue and it will be pretty strong.

i searched on it and its quite good but i can't find it anywhere online

i searched on it and its basically if wood and glass combined, also its very brittle and a little heavy(but it's still a considerable option i could use)

maybe, but the project i'm making has water in it so if a drop of water got on the cardboard it will soften up,it is a good idea but i think there are better materials.

What will you do, work with components or just modules? If you plan on using components you will need some board to build the circuit on. To secure things, wood is good and you can use nail or screw to attach the electronics. I don't know if wood is hard to find in Egypt, perhaps you could go to a scrap yard.

Yeah wood is a pretty good option, the only problem i have with it is that it need big and sharp equipments to deal with it, also it leaves a ton of saw dust behind.

Have you access to something similar to this? It's often used for signage - look for discard signs at your local stores, for example.

It's strong, water-tolerant, and hot glue sticks well. We use it for building prototypes of structures in model railroading sometimes.

From a scrapyard it's possible you can get small sized chunks - old furniture, crates, building material etc. If you ask nice they might cut it up for you

If it's laminate, I can imagine it's strong.

You should have mentioned that in the beginning, that makes a lot of materials unsuitable. If you have access to a sheet plastic that is affordable, tolerant of the environmental conditions, easily worked with hand tools and can be 'fastened' with either adhesive or some sort of fastener, then you are good to go.

Why are we in Category "Opta" ?

No, this company is not in egypt

Scrapyards aren't really a thing in my town, i would have to travel to a city like cairo or something

Expected that, hence I said "something similar to", hoping you'd think about the world closer to you.

Yeah, but being waterproof isnt really that important of a requirement. Its only with this project not in general.
