What is your favorite Arduino board(s)?

UNO/Nano and the ESP32

Why is it your favorite Arduino board(s)?

Ease of use and many, many libraries and tutorials.
ESP32, if I need more memory and/or speed.

What have you made with it?

Weather stations for vineyards (lora).
Durability test jigs (refurbished mechanical latching switches/relays).
Back up controller for PLC to initialise a process, proof of concept.
I/O source to test temperature and basic process controllers.
Test jig for remote UHF commercial link.

What are you planning to make with it?

Model railway automated display (T-Trak).
Remote Antenna Matching Unit for End-Fed Long Wire antenna.(CanBus).
Load measuring logger for modified Lipo charger under development.

What arduino board do you want most?

I don't, I've got them both.
As I don't do any complicate iCloud, HTML and IP stuff they do the trick.
ESP32 works great with myDevices dashboard for my uses.

Definitely the Uno board/Atmega328P chip.(got 7 of them).

I'm going to quote Tom here.

Two train detection systems, two Slimboys(Arduboy like)(Atmega328P chip).

One is for my 8x8 display(Atmega328P chip).
Got two to develop a OLED terminal with PS/2(Atmega328P chip).
Got one for developing my Interpreter(Uno board).

Not desiring any currently, Atmega328P is perfectly sufficient for my current needs.

I am not going to divulge in all the boards I have but got one of them.

Only got two official uno r3s, a uno clone(16u2 or 8u2 serial?), and a FireBeetle ESP-32E
Planing to get more boards.

Added more questions.

Here they are.

Right now I am leaning towards ESP-32s because they have wifi(want to use Matter).
Don't think 16mb of flash is enough though.

The question I like to ask is, Could I have done it with less....

That IS "less"! These were the original prototypes.

1st gen was "proof of principle"

2nd gen had lots of bells & whistles -- it could make coffee!

The current version, gen 3, is both half the size and half the cost of the above 2nd gen. Additionally the fab time has been greatly reduced and all of the NRE is complete. Panel fab is CNC.

Final (?) product

Looks a lot better then the other two.
But I guess you need the Mega2560 for the program size etc.

Perhaps the next will be improved x times more.
