What type or revision of Arduino Uno is this?

Hi Community,

my wife bought a children's electronics set that included an Arduino Uno. The Uno at the top is the one from the electronics set (from the publisher "Kosmos" in Germany) and the below is my Arduino Uno that I bought some years ago.

The version from the electronics set in its yellow case does not just have a different color and different printing, but also the board layout and some components are different to my Italian one.

Have you seen such Unos?
What are they and how are they different?

Just curious :slightly_smiling_face:

Many thanks,

Jan

revision 3

It looks to me like a fairly typical Arduino UNO R3 clone. It will probably work just like a real UNO.

Yes, but slightly worse with regards to the load on the internal 5V regulator. That regulator has poor current capacity on the original Uno Revision 3, due to the lack of an adequate heat sink. This is exacerbated in the kit version by putting in in a plastic case, reducing the air flow, and thus raising the temperature of the regulator even more.

Not with what appears to be a bridge rectifier (if that is what it is)
