Very often, even in technical literature or datasheets, I see "hz" with a small letter. Also in many languages, units of measurement begin with a small letter.
Don’t take a commonly made mistake for a rule. The guy’s name was Heinrich Hertz, so we use the capital H.
With the M and m the capital one is used for something bigger. In our field often B and b are confused, B being byte and b being bit.
The name of a person - Hertz - of course with a capital letter, and the name of a physical unit is hertz with a small letter, to distinguish between a person and a physical unit.
I think this approach is logical
