Where are the power and ground rails on a solderless breadboard?

I am trying to make a circuit on a solderless breadboard, but I don't know where the power and ground rails are. Are they the little rectangles on the side of the breadboard? (picture below)

That is more commonly referred to as proto board. Connections must be soldered on proto board.

The power and ground rails on proto board are where you make them. You could use the circled bits.

That is of course, not a "solderless breadboard", nor the "breadboard" style at all.
