Your favorite product is back in stock - or not?

I got an e-mail today proclaiming:

You asked us to tell you when Arduino BugHopper would be available to purchase.

We are pleased to tell you it is now back in stock and ready for your next project.

Of course, since it is a new product, it has not been in stock yet, so it can't be described as being "now back in stock". It therefore looks like the announcement was pushed out using a standard template, the wording of which someone has failed to check. However, that aside, when you go to the arduino.cc website, the item is still showing as "COMING SOON!" so has the announcement has gone out prematurely? Or have they already sold out?

I got a similar email for the 45W power brick. I also have the BugHopper on 'notify me' but have not seen it yet.

What worries me is that when I tried to add my email in order to get notified again I got a message re already subscribed. Given all the 'mistakes' they have already made, what is the chance we get a second email when the product is really back in stock?
Given I pay a premium price in order to get it direct and sooner than from other sources that offer free shipping but are not stocked as early this is very unprofessional behaviour.

Let's hope they hear about this and take steps to fix it.

How much do you have to spend in Canadian $ to get free shipping from Arduino?

I don't see any free shipping to Canada, all I see is $50USD if shipped to the Contiguous US.

Here is what I have encountered.

This is an Arduino Store order

This is DigiKey it's a .ca site but it's really in the USA They literally drive a truck across the border and put it on a plane. It's a 2.5 hr drive

The DigiKey shipping is a flat rate and it arrives within either 2 or 3 days not counting weekends of course.

I get where you are going and I do have 3 products on order I thin so I may just wait until they are all in stock.

I didn't realize the free shipping from Arduino was only for the US. Digikey is definitely a better deal if you can wait.

I know I have at least the BugHopper on notify but I think I also had something else. As usual, Arduino does not have a 'show me everything I have on notify' button. I am not in a hurry at all, in fact I am starting to donate much of my hardware to a local school. My interests are varied and I am quickly losing interest in electronics and software. Between planning for an Oct 2 day photo workshop and a week plus camping trip end of Aug plus a month or more in Newfoundland next year I am busy finding campsites, buying camping gear (gave much away a few years ago when my health started to deteriorate but now I am feeling GREAT)
I will be building some game cameras using the Seeed XIAO esp32-s3 sense board and 3D print some enclosures but other than that nothing planned for the electronics side until at least next winter.

@sonofcy Yeah, Arduino notifications can be frustratingly hard to track. I have run into that same limitation before. Sounds like you have exciting plans outside electronics now. Camping and photography sound like a great combination. Glad to hear your health is improving significantly. Donating hardware to a school is a great move.
Your game camera idea still sounds very interesting. The XIAO ESP32-S3 Sense is perfect for that. Enclosure design will likely be the main challenge. I saw this project that might help. It shows clean component layout inside a printed enclosure. Could give ideas for organizing your camera build.
