3.2' LCD module 34 PIN interface Need help!!!

Hello everyone,

I need some major help, I’ve been searching for the past 2 weeks on the internet on this and I have yet to get anywhere.

I bought this LCD/touch display from Gearbest. - http://www.gearbest.com/development-boards/pp_108666.html

Mind you this LCD is a 34 pin not a 40 pin interface

I am using a Mega2560 to work with it, I have downloaded the correct library and I have installed them correctly. I have gotten the screen to turn on, but I keep getting a blank screen

I was suggested by this site (http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/3.2TFT_LCD) to do the following:
to change the initializing statement to myGLCD(38,39,40,41,ITDB32S) but that doesn’t work at all.

I don’t know if it because it’s a 34 pin interface the reason why it doesn’t work with the shield. I have tried to change the controller in every form, I hope I haven’t damaged the LCD display. I doubt it. It still works fine but only displays the backlight and a white screen, sometime it flickers.

Someone please help me out, I don’t know what else to do. I have also used wires to connect it directly to the Mega2560 but I get worst results.

The two parts you have are incompatible. You need to buy either an LCD with 40 pins or a shield with 34.

Once you have compatible parts, the correct declare for UTFT is myGLCD(ITDB32S,38,39,40,41). The display type is always the first variable, not the last as you showed. I'm not certain that the display type is correct for your screen but I'm simply saying the format is incorrect.

I do not have access to UTFT at the moment to verify which screen type is correct for the ILI9341 which is what the Gearbest website said. Perhaps that will change if you get a different lcd.

If you want to try connecting your existing shield and lcd with jumpers, post a schematic of how you propose to wire and either myself or another display knowledgable poster can verify your scheme.
