So i bought a Creality Ender 3 V2 and was thinking with my uno R3, stepper motors, and a few various sensor kits, i should have whats needed to make some sort of automated or measuring assistance sensor for more accurate bed leveling.
I am seeking guidance on how i would start this and if i do already have the needed parts.
At the very least i was hoping to be able to fix a distance tracker like laser or ultrasonic, to the hotend and feeding a number to the lcd, instead of adjusting it by the feel of paper under the extruder.
Not sure if basic sensor can accurately gauge distance at 0.02mm tolerance.
It would not be more than 3-5 inches away for distance to read.
But in that case you have to drive the thumbwheels with an Arduino and read the level using some camera and image recognisition Might be easier to do it another way
I would think to use a bltouch connected to an arduino that reads its input as well as feedback from the printer, and outputs gcode to the printer as it adjusts the table. Matter of fact I really like this idea, I’m stealing it
