Alternatives to a Breadboard

I have 2 wires leading to separate things that need the Arduino's 5V power supply. Usually, this is easily achieved by connecting them on a breadboard. However, in my circumstance, I cannot use a breadboard or any similar thing. I'm hoping for the smallest possible physical area to connect them. For example, would soldering all 3 wires into a ball achieve the same effect as a breadboard?

Thanks,
Ian

indeed you can join the 3 wires and solder them.

Not sure what you call a "ball" - ideally you would twist them together in a nice way

there are lots of youTube videos on properly twisting wires together

then apply flux and solder.

I would also apply insulation tape, or liquid insulation tape, to stop it accidentally touching something else.
Hot melt glue is fine, but silicone sealant is not, as it produces acid while it cures and can corrode the wires long term.

Heat shrink sleeveing is also worth considering.

Yes a shrink tube can go a long way

If you have space enough for a Wago, that's an easy solution requiring no soldering. They come in various number of slots

and if your cables are thin enough you can get more than one cable into an inline Wago

+1 for the Wago blocks. They are relatively expensive but make things so much easier. Note that I've heard that the cheaper clones don't work vey well.

Deadbug.

And best of all, it's multilayer!

What size wire? Solid or stranded?

I'm pretty new to this terminology. Feel free to explain it to me. My wires are the usual wires that are plugged into the Arduino pins and then onto breadboards. Nothing special.
