Arduino cloud doesn't detect arduino wifi rev2 board

Arduino Cloud doesn't detect arduino wifi rev2 board.
I have tried a chromebook and a windows laptop (with Arduino Cloud Agent).
I have tried the firmware updater from the IDE.

This is what I get

Hi @tmancebol. Unfortunately there is a bug in Arduino Cloud that currently makes it impossible to use with the UNO WiFi Rev2 board. I have reported the bug to the Arduino Cloud developers.

I will let you know if I receive any news from them regarding a resolution.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

The UNO WiFi Rev2 does work fine with Arduino IDE, so you can still use this board for Arduino projects, even though not currently for Arduino Cloud IoT projects.

If you want to use a board that has the "UNO" form factor with Arduino Cloud IoT, the Arduino UNO R4 WiFi is a good option.

Thank you very much for your reply @ptillisch I will keep an eye out for any news you send me.
I tested the board on Arduino IDE, and as you said, it works fine. But I need to work with Arduino Cloud because my students use Chromebooks. Do you know if Arduino UNO R4 WiFi works correctly on Arduino Cloud? Best regards.
Best regards.

I confirm that the UNO R4 WiFi works just fine with Arduino Cloud on Chromebooks.

Thanks again @ptillisch !
I will try to replace one board with another.

I am a high school computer science teacher with a class set of 30 Uno wifi rev2’s. Is there a patch available for the board to be compatible with the Cloud IDE? I do not have funding to replace all the boards. The 2.36 desktop IDE works, but the updated 2.38 does not. However, the CTC Go! Core programming library isn’t loaded on the desktop ide.

Thanks!

Please provide a detailed description of the problem you encounter when you try to use Arduino IDE 2.3.8.

Just install it using Library Manager:

Thanks, I realized that after I posted.

I appreciate it.
