Arduino drivers problem

hi everyone
i am french so i'm going to try to be as precise as possible concerning my problem so excuse me if my sintax is not perfect.
i recently bought an arduino experiemental kit on adafruit and i tried to install it on my windows 10
i downloaded the andruino program on andrino.cc and i pluged my andruino on my pc
i went in the device manager and i saw my andruino appear on other devices and named ATmega16u2 DFU
So i installed the driver manually using the one given in the arduino installation file
But when i select it windows tells me that it can't be sure if the driver and the peripheral are compatibles so when i continue and select yes it give me and error code 10 (the peripheral can't start)
after the installation it appers in the device manager under com port as it should but there is a warning on the icon and the arduino program doesn't recognise the port
i have searched for long hours on differents formus and websites and i tried all of this:

  • change usb port
    -change computer
    -change operating system
-reinstall the drivers again and again ...
-deactivate the drivers signing (even if the arduino's driver is signed)
i really don't know what to do and i'm scared to have a faulty board
thank you in advance for your answers

replying to tell you that after 10 hours of intensive research i finnally found on my own the problem
the arduino needed a firmware upgrade
link to a youtube video explaining how to do it :

You must have a very old Arduino. The current firmware is rev .0001 (May 2011)
