Breadboard to perboard

Hello all,

I have test my 8 max31855 to arduino mega 2560 on breadboard everything work now want transfer to the perfboard but i don't know how to use that ,how to share gnd, power,do,clk and which accessories have to buy and all . Which perfboard?, i am thinking to use screw terminal so from that i can easily connect pin on arduino .

Can someone guide :folded_hands:
Thanks

  • Always show us a good schematic of your proposed circuit.

  • Show us good images of your ‘actual’ current wiring.

  • Review these:
  • Excellent.

If you can afford it, it's best to duplicate your build with another set of components, rather than taking your existing one apart. So often, the new build won't work because of an assembly error (it happens to all of us). Trouble shooting is much easier if you have your original, working build to compare it with.

I use these most of the time:

They are laid out just like a breadboard, so it can be pretty simple to transfer a circuit. I usually clean the copper side with very fine steel wool until it's shiny. Then soldering is very easy. And you can cut them in half with a Dremel tool.

My latest example:

You can get proto boards the are laid out like a breadboard. For example.

Yes, yes it is. Don't ask why I repeat this advice by quoting it.

If your time is worth anything, the savings will be in excess of the cost of a second set of components.

Many of which you might already have.

And implied is a +1 for building on protoboards that mimic the breadboard.

Thanks a lot guy for suggestions, guidance but after i realise its difficult to design because i never done soldering and all because i dont have much background in circuit design much. I am new in this area. I hardly understand how to create design i mean connection on breadboard how to share pins and all.

I have think a lot and i think as i connected pic this way i think easy for me. Can someone told this approach is okay or not . I am planning to use stripboard so i think i replicate easily circuit . And no need to much soldering.

This way i can do for 8 max31855 ? , i am sharing right way power, gnd , do, clk ?

And sorry for rough drawing

You can save yourself a lot of wiring, if instead of putting the MAX31855 modules side by side, you put them along the strips like I have shown below:

You need to cut the 'CS' track between each module, and wire each modules 'CS' pin to it's own track.

You would mount the modules on the other side of the stripboard.
I only showed them on that side so that you could see which direction the strips ran in.

@js13 this video example is a fairly long video but it's an interesting watch. There are lots of similar videos on YoutTube
