Can I use a VFD with this single phase induction motor?

I am currently working on a project using an Arduino to control a single phase induction motor.

This is what I need it to do:
-Start and Stop the motor
-Control speed(if possible)
-Control amount of time the motor will run for
-Also, would it be possible to change the direction of this motor?

The Arduino I am using is the Arduino Mega 2560 and the motor I am using is the single phase VHI206A-GV Oriental Motor Co. Induction Motor.

I know some single phase motors allow VFD capabilities, but I am wondering if the Oriental Motor VHI206A-GV Induction Motor is compatible with any VFDs.
