is the library correct

Looks actively maintained, recent and well-documented. I suppose it should work.

As to your problem - mystery circuit with mystery code giving mystery problem. Nobody can know but you.

when does the LED (D1) on CH376s USB module glow , on providing the 5v supply or when we connect the pen drive..?

I have tested the module with Arduino nano board , I have formatted my pendrive with FAT32 and inserted in the usb module , connected VCC, GND ,RX(D7), TX(D6) pins on Arduino to Tx , Rx pin of the CH376s USB module, jumper on USB module is shifted to right to initiate serial interface checked in the serial monitor it show as follows

h:Print this help

1:Create

2:Append

3:Read

4:Read date/time

5:Modify date/time

6:Delete

7:List dir

8:Print free space

9:Open/Create folder(s)/subfolder(s)

is doesnt show that the flash drive is attached

I can keep saying this, you know. Until you post a schematic and your full sketch.

How would I know? I have no clue which module you're using. You didn't provide a link to it or post a photo of it. I can't read the minds of anonymous engineers.

Excellent, a schematic! The led will be on at all times as long as the module is powered.
