COM-Port: Getting board-info, but not able do upload any program

Hello,

I've checked the suggestions in the #upload section, but I did not find a solution for my problem.

I have two Arduino Uno boards of the same type. Whereas uploading my program to the first one works well, uploading to the other one does not.

I can read the board-Info (see attachment), but uploading the program leads to the error
"avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\.\COM9" (see attachment).

I am using W7 SP1 (32 Bit), latest updates included. The program just leads to a slow-blinking LED Nr. 13 (but this does not matter, since it is not uploaded).

The Arduino board is a "4duino Uno R3" (compatibel to Arduino™ Uno R3) from the ARD DEV 1 KIT (like here: ARD DEV KIT-1: Das Allnet 4duino Starter-Kit bei reichelt elektronik).

I have included as attachment:

  • the result from Tools=>Get board info
  • a picture showing that the COM-Port is working
  • the details given by the Arduino-IDE during comilation/uploading - including the error-message.

Hope, that you can help me!
Thanks a lot!!!

Kind regards,
Michael

You didn't post this. Are you sure the board is on COM9?

Sorry - was too was too big. Here ist comes.

I'm having similar issue with a arduino genuino 101 board and I haven't found a solution yet either. Tried different cables and computers but still unable to upload any sketches. I'm thinking of trying to reload the bootloader but I don't have a programmer.

You might want to go to the Arduino 101 section for this one.
Just got a 101 myself this morning and having some issues uploading myself.

Taken all day but finally got a sketch in by pressing MASTER RESET every 3 seconds whilst it was compiling to upload as recommended for another issue over there.

Hi,

thanks for your suggestion!

However, after applying some ideas written in other issues (changing the COM-Port-Nr., reinstalling the driver, ...) and also after unsuccessfully frequently pressing the RESET-button during compilation / "uploading" I assume a fault in the board (HW or SW). Iam not going to spend more time on that issue and I'll send the board back to the shop.

Again, thank you for trying to help me!

Kind regards,
Michael
