Creating +-12V PSU - Best option

I'm looking for simplest but rather good way to make +-12V PSU that can deliver around 400-500mA.

One option is to use two separated 12V PSU as in this configuration:

Second option is to Use those DC DC converters

Third option is to use LM2596 with that configuration:

What you guys suggesting?

Option_1 is silly (sorry).

Option_2's IN- has no connection.
Anyway, the V_in and V_out aren't isolated.
If they had separate V_in sources, those modules could be used.

Why option one is silly? Is it because using two PSU?
What about third option using the LM2596?

@hk_jh
All options are possible
ALL options would require the use of isolated DC-DC converters

Option1 - current, not happening
Option2 - not shown
Option 3 - explained

What does it means current not happening? Assuming I'm using two 12V 2A PSU

Looks like two batteries.

You can join two separate power supplies for a dual-ended rig.
No problem.

@hk_jh
Only option 2 will work.
Options 1 an 3 require isolated supplies

So that should work? is that could be a problem if one psu is giving 12.7V and the other is giving 12.4V (just an example)

What does isolated supplies means?
Is this is not isolated?

Yes, it will work.

There will be some difference no matter what anyway (How many decimal places do you want to go?)

Will it be suitable for powring modular synthesizer? (running from +-12V ?)

I venture it will.
Do you have the two power supplies?

I do

Wire it up (the supplies, first).

Unknown, some of those cheap chinese supplies are not.

I did. One gave me 13.72V and the other 12.07V

There is no connection between the inputs and outputs

What is being used.
Show me - take a pic.
