Error in code for LCD display

Good Morning,

I am working on what I thought would be a simple project for school. I am doing a traffic light, two sets of lights with a pedestrian sensor. Hardware is listed below along with the code where the error is. Everything is working but I cannot get the LCD display to work. Please help and thank you

ESP32 BOARD
TWO SETS OF LIGHTS
WIRE FOR PEDESTRIAN SENSOR
BUZZER
LCD DISPLAY.

LCD DISPLAY SHOULD DISPLAY THE “DO NOT WALK”, “WALK” WITH A COUNTDOWN FROM 10-0

CODE IS BELOW:

try defining just using numbers

LiquidCrystal lcd(12, 11, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2);

Here's a hint!

Don't post useless pictures of code.

Read the instructions for posting and post your actual code. :grinning:

@horace, Thanks

LiquidCrystal lcd(12, 11, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2);

How is the display actually connected? The pins in the constructor must match the pins actually connected. Is the LCD R/W pin actually connected to pin 10? Does the LiquidCrystal library that you are using support the R/W pin's use? Not all do.

Post a schematic, please.
