Help with motors - only forward or backward. [L293D & NodeMCU v2]

Hi,
I make a wifi robot from this tutorial --> https://www.instructables.com/Simplest-Wifi-Car-Using-ESP8266-Motorshield/

but my car can only drive forward or backward, zero reaction when joystick turn left or right.
Can anyone help me?
