Hi I am working on a project that includes a boost converter that is mt3608

the problem i am facing is that i have a battery for my project that is of 6V only and I have an ir sensor and 6V motor
The functiaonality should be like when the state of the ir sensor is changes the motor will move for 3 seconds and for the motor i am using l293D ic but I am faicng a problem I have boosted up the 6V to about 9V from the boost converter and the positive pin then be connected with the arduino VIN pin but my motor is not working Idk why this is happening as the arduino can withstand for about 12V but the motor is not running i have connected my ir with the 5V of the arduino pin
Please help me I need to do it asap

this is the circuit i am making and I am using a motor that is operated on 6V only
In my practical working i have connected the output +pin of mt3608 to the VIN of arduino and output -pin of mt3608 to the gnd of the arduino
