How do I combine wires without a breadboard?

So, when I was watching some tutorials on how to control up to 4 motors with a single arduino board and power supply. I noticed this diagram with the wires connecting together.

Looks like the voltage and ground wire should be combined into one wire from the 3 different wires connecting to the servos.

How would I do this without a breadboard?
Will this involve soldering?

Using protoboards and soldering is a good way, actually better then breadboards. More reliable and some more current distribution capacity!

Using screw blocks could work but difficult for tiny cables. No gripping of the cable.
