ILI9488 and Arduino Mega 2560 Pro Mini

The sketch is standard, from the library. But what is interesting: if I connect SDO (tft) to MOSI (Adruino), and SDI (tft) to MISO (Adruino), nothing happens with any libraries. If I swap them, here is an image.

Truly use the Mcufriend library. That supports the ili9488

Post an Annotated schematic showing exactly how you have wired it, be sure to show all connections, poer, ground and power source. Your picture shows you did not properly describe your interface. As you described it nothing should happen. You have more wires then that in your picture plus SPI requires a CS\ pin, you did not list that. There are also other wires, what are they? Post a link to the technical information on the particular display you are using.

Here is a diagram of how I connected everything. I tried with different libraries ILI9488, HX8357, ST7789 (it works the same with these - two horizontal black bars, wrong colors, etc.) 9341 (it doesn't work with this one at all).

I had exactly the same problem word for word, your missing the LLC which is required to convert 5v to 3.3v logic
