I'm building a shield based upon a prototype that I constructed on a Rev 3 Proto shield. Where can I buy the 0.1" 6 way, 8 way and 10 way socket to wire wrap connectors that are use on all commecially available shields? I've searched all the component suppliers that I normally use plus some others, but nothing comes close, and buying another Rev 3 just to "rob" the connectors seems a bit excessive. Are the components that Arduino use themselves available to buy online from them, and if I might ask (in these days of "Makers") if not why not?
Search for
Dupont Connector
That is what is used for the Arduino . They are not wire wrap connectors on the Arduino.
Hi,
You mean these?
Google
6/8/10 Pins Stackable Header Pins for Arduino Shield UNO MEGA DUE 2.54mm pitch
These were on ebay.
Tom..
Note you can always cut up longer strips to be the size you want. You just sacrifice one connector at each cut. Pull it out with pliers and cut along the empty gap.
