M & S location system.

I was in a M & S cafe todat and was given a beermat sized electronic tag.

The waitresses use them to locate your table.

Anyone had one apart ?

Curious as to how they work.

It has 3 metal stubs in a triangle pattern, they may be just for stacking and charging though.

I thought they just buzz, vibrate and flash lights.
What is an M & S?
When the thing goes off you go pick up whatever you ordered.

Marks and Spencer?

AWOL:
Marks and Spencer?

Sorry, Yes. Are they UK only ?

It just sits there flashing an amber/green/red LED every couple of seconds.

No sound , waitress just appears with my toastie.
About 80 tables in my store.

Nothing apparent in the tables either, i had some funny looks investigating that though.

Sounds like some clever salesman persuaded them to spend a lot of money to replace the little stands with a number attached. Is that progress?

Personally I would prefer if they reduced the prices.

I bought some trousers in an M&S sale a few days ago. The lady at the checkout said they were selling a lot of them. I suggested that they had finally got the price right.

Hi,
Quite a few of the local hotel/pub/club/bistro here have them as well.
Instead of your number being misheard or not heard at all over the PA, your triangle flashes, indicating that you meal is ready.

even aliexpress sell them.
