need port

Using Arduino IDE 1.x

I am unable to get proper port for OS X 10.8.5. I had it previously for a training with no issues.. Now I don't. I am at second training unable to practice :frowning: I am guess some updates may be the issue. I went to the troubleshooting page and the download is the same download I currently have installed.

Help please.

If your "Arduino" is an inexpensive clone you might need to install the FTDI or CH34x drivers. Look at the chip near the USB connector to see what type of chip it is:
