(Newbie!) 5 x 7 LED Matrix project, how does this work?

Hey.

So I've been given an assignment on a completely new topic, Arduino and programming in general. I've been given the Arduino Starter Kit, and an 5x7 LED Matrix (TC20-11QBWA-D) from Kingbright. I'm supposed to loop a lighting sequence consisting of 3 different "images".

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I really need some pointers to get going. I wanna learn this stuff but I don't know where to start :slight_smile:
