Hi, I am new to Arduino and was wondering if it is possible to make a tv screen play a video when a sensor is activated? What type of screen is used to display video?

I'm not a moderator, but a moderator would tell you to use a more descriptive question title next time.
A Raspberry Pi has video output capability. An Arduino does not.
You don't provide a lot of specifics, but in general yes, I would think a project that used a sensor input to trigger a video output would be possible.
I'd probably go about it the simplest way - buy a cheap DVD player, and use the Arduino to emulate its IR remote control.
