nRF24L01 wont work with pro mini 5v

Im using two pro minis with nRF modules to transmit very basic data. They are connected to nrf module correctly. (i tried printDetails() to check whether nrf module is connected to pro mini or not)
And i know the code is working too because when i try the same code with arduino nanos everything works.
I use arduino uno as ISP to program pro minis is this the problem?

If you leave the UNO connected when you expect the nRF modules to work then yes you could get a problem.

So it could be the way you have it all connected up.

I guess that the 3.3V rail is not powerful enough for the NRF.

Try a 5V to 3.3V converter/regulator to power the NRF.

Hi,
What ProMini are you using 3V3 or 5V?

Have you got a 10uF capacitor across the Vcc and gnd AT the NRF units?

heading says 5v promini so anyones guess where the 3v3 is coming from for the nrf units...maybe the op is using the nrf adaptors.

I'm using a step down buck converter to power nrf modules.

Hi,
A schematic would be nice, just a hand drawn circuit would be great.

hehehe...we all have 'em.

Hi,
Better now, a nights sleep and a quick trip through Maccas for a large cappuccino with extra shot, on the way to work.. Yesss.. :+1: :+1:

^ This was my issue when moving from Uno to Pro-Mini.

If you use the recommended adaptor there is no need for any extra capacitor.
