Pins on logic level shifter are always high

so I have a logic level shifter which is TXS0108E ,I use it to shift the esp32 output voltage to 5v to be used with motor driver ,when I test it with multimeter , all the channels on the B side outputs high (5v) without connecting anything on the A side, my connection is this :

Which motor driver.
The ones I know all work fine with 3.3volt-logic.

Seems normal to me. Both sides have integrated 40k pull up resistors.

That's normal, if you want the B side to go LOW, put a LOW on the A side instead of leaving it open (pulled up, HIGH).

Oh I didn't know that it was pulled high by deafult , thank you guys .

The motor driver is tb6560 , do I need to use a converter ?

Probably not. But use the converter if you already have it.
Normally HIGH is normal behaviour, and a HIGH on the motor/opto pins means it's doing nothing.
Because the opto pins are "active LOW" when opto common V+ is connected to 5volt.
See page#4 of the datasheet.
