Problem with Arduino Pro Mini code uploading

Hi there,

I am a first timer playing with Arduino Pro Mini for an assignment and i would need some assistance.

So far I soldered my Arduino properly and connected my TTL serial adapter with Arduino into the computer.

I download the Arduino software and installed the latest VCP drivers on VCP Drivers - FTDI for my Windows 10 computer.

I opened the Arduino software, headed to TOOLS > Boards > Arduino Mini , headed to processor > ATmega328 and i selected my port.

I used Blink from Examples to test out the Arduino.

However, after i upload there is a error and the message is :

I got another Arduino mini and retried the same steps as above, but the same message occurred.

Can you tell us which programmer are you using ??

Did you try arduino 1.0.6 ?

So you're using an Arduino.. UNO? TO program your Arduino Pro-Mini?

Or you actually/truly do have an FTDI programmer?

Show us pics of the set-up and how you have things wired up.

So far i try to blink on it, there is no response and the software came back always with the same message:

Because it didnt work with the Arduino mini, i decided to swap to an Arduino Uno from Freeontronics. I applied the Blink code to the Uno, it worked perfectly. However, after i plug in my easy driver and motor to Arduino and upload my example code:

The software says Done Upload, but there is no response from the motor. I took a second picture show my setup so far.

I know that my Easy Driver is Powered up, because of the red light. I also connected the motor’s wire A & Bs occurring to the manufacturer website to the Easy Driver.
