Keep all your questions/needs in one post.

  • What is your budget ?

  • What is your experience ?

And also how do you define best?

Any product choice is a compromise of price V quality. Only you can decide where your particular point of diminishing returns kicks in.

What exactly do you want to measure?

Thats because there are so many different needs.

And why Fluke? there are other manufacturers

Iot based automotive device like ev and its controller ckt and obd device

like multimeter for my IoT-based automotive & EV devices testing R&D

Hi, @itsashutamar
What do you want to measure and what range?

Some Fluke meters are aimed at industrial, some at electrical, some at electronics?

PS, You should have also asked about soldering irons here as well.

Your two or more topics on the same or similar subject have been merged.

Please do not duplicate your questions as doing so wastes the time and effort of the volunteers trying to help you as they are then answering the same thing in different places.

Please create one topic only for your question and choose the forum category carefully. If you have multiple questions about the same project then please ask your questions in the one topic as the answers to one question provide useful context for the others, and also you won’t have to keep explaining your project repeatedly.

Repeated duplicate posting could result in a temporary or permanent ban from the forum.

Thank you.

how about this one

obviously for electronics

I work in electronics and measure up to 15kv and 100's of Amps, measure down to microOhms and 10's of GOhms.

If you are doing basic hobby stuff, a Fluke 115 would be a small simple unit, field tech model.
Even measures capacitance.

Suggest you avoid hot air units that have the compressor inside the wand; these are dangerous and fail prematurely.

This version has the air compressor inside the main unit, much better.

Real Fluke meters, not those $40 ones on Amazon that just share the name, are expensive and in many cases don’t provide much more value than a $20 one. I have several $20 meters and one HP bench meter for when I need 5-6 digit accuracy.

In which case you need one that will survive an automotive environment.

can measure these
uA to 20A
6V - 600V
resistor , capacitors , continuity , inductance

Hi,
As @EmilyJane has said, any $40.00 meter will get you what you want.

Just make sure the leads have insulated plugs.

Probably not as fancy as this, but you get the idea.
