Hi
Anyone used the 21-024-85 stepper from Symbol Technologies. 5 volt.
Can this be used in unipolar mode or is it just bipolar. Has 5 wires off the motor.
Having trouble trying to locate specifications etc anyone have them.

Have you got a DMM to reverse engineer the stepper?

The purchase source unknown. Seems like they are quite old.
Yes I do have a DMM.
Once I identify each coil, does it matter which of the 2 wires go. Can they go opposite and make no difference and work still.

Yes.

If you get a jitter or mis step or stall on the motor swap two of the coil wires over that go to the same coil.
