Text to serial monitor and export text file

Guys I a music teacher working on a project.

I want to create a game -feel- console for my students.

Process:
They will insert their text (maybe with a joystick) in Serial Monitor and then it will Export all Text in a text file.

I want my students to write a sentence which will be projected on a small LCD (1.8") and in the end the arduino will save all sentences in a text file.

Any ideas how I can do that? I need a way to keep the text files. If it's independent from the computer (let's say an SD card). It will be awesome.

Thanks in advance!

Serial Monitor will not export to a text file.

Serial Monitor can only send data over the serial port, e.g. to an Arduino. You can display it on a screen connected to the Arduino. You can save the sentences to SD card connected to the Arduino.

How to do it?

Start with reading text from Serial Monitor and send it back from the Arduino to the Serial Monitor.
2)
Next, add displaying on your screen; life will be easy with a library, so try to find a screen that is supported by a library. You will have to study the library examples.
3)
Lastly, add writing to (files on) SD card; the SD library comes installed by default if not mistaken (if not, download it) and study the examples.
