Feel like this is a very basic question but I am new to this. I am trying to make a touch sensor using tinfoil, a teensy 3.1 and a 10MOhm resistor. Currently I am just trying to get it to read before using the value. I am using the code found at http://arduino.cc/playground/Main/CapacitiveSensor and the only reading I am getting is a -2. The send pin from the Teensy is connected in series with the resistor in series with a parallel connection of the receive pin and a wire taped to some tinfoil. I have switched the pins and tried re-taping the tinfoil several times and still the only reading I get is -2.
