Transistor is blowing out

This is the circuit layout, it runs perfectly on tinker cad but when we built it the transistor keeps smoking. All the connections have been double checked and the voltage input is 12V. Any help would be appreciated!

@barbsp8
What is the transistor part number?
What is the opamp part number?
What is the yellow thing that look like it has an LCD display?

Draw a schematic by hand and post a picture. It will make your project much easier to understand so you'll get more helpers pitch in.

Simulators may use ideal components and not consider real things like power dissipation, stray capacitance, wire resistance, etc. You may get a surprise when you use real parts.

I cannot follow the scribbles in your picture and I do not have time to figure out what they are. Post an annotated schematic showing exactly how you have wired it, include all connections, power, ground, power sources and part numbers. Links to technical information on the hardware parts will also help.

Hi, @barbsp8
Welcome to the forum.

Can you please list ALL the hardware in your circuit, and can you please post a copy of your circuit, a picture of a hand drawn circuit in jpg, png?
Hand drawn and photographed is perfectly acceptable.
Please include ALL hardware, power supplies, component names and pin labels.

What is the round component in the top left hand corner of your image?
Can you please post a link to its spec/data?

Can you please tell us your electronics, programming, arduino, hardware experience?

Thanks.. Tom.. :grinning: :+1: :coffee: :australia:
